Life habits, scientific names, habitat & ranges and other information is provided, along with a black & white photo of each species discussed. Includes a foreword by Fairfield Osborn. --- In tan cloth-covered boards with spine titling in black. Jacket features color photo of a lemur-like creature to front panel. --- A clean, sound copy but with prior owner's signature to front free endpaper. Unclipped jacket with large open tear to head of spine, other smaller tears but still mostly intact and protected in removable archival mylar protector.; Tall Octavo - 9 to 10 in. tall; 448 pages .
