Undated, presumed c. 1908-1910 [Gilson E124] A very good, bright volume in the publisher's pale-green cloth binding with extravagent red decoration to front board, some rubbing to the centre, gilt decoration to the spine (to Brock's design). Colour frontispiece plate and 15 plates after Charles Edmund Brock. Contents clean and tight, front and rear endpapers toned, internal hinges all good. A very good copy in a bright and attractive binding..

Synopsis

Mansfield Park is a novel by Jane Austen, written at Chawton Cottage between 1812 and 1814. It was published in July 1814 by Thomas Egerton, who published Jane Austen's two earlier novels, Sense and Sensibility and Pride and Prejudice. When the novel reached a second edition, its publication was taken over by John Murray, who also published its successor, Emma.
