UK: Richard Bentley, 1856. New Edition . Cloth. Very Good. 32mo - over 4" - 5" tall. New Edition 1856. Mansfield Park is Volume 3 of the novels of Jane Austen but complete in it's own right. Bound in the original publishers ornate green morocco grain cloth with ornate design and gilt titles to the spine.(Ref. Gilson D7 1856 p226.) However this binding conforms with the earlier green cloth rather than the purple. Illustrated frontispiece and half title dated 1833. Book is very good and bright. Edges lightly rubbed. One corner bumped. Gutters a little marked. Contents good. Light marking to title pages. Very uncommon early edition. More images can be taken upon request. Ref 8158###010639
Synopsis
Mansfield Park is a novel by Jane Austen, written at Chawton Cottage between 1812 and 1814. It was published in July 1814 by Thomas Egerton, who published Jane Austen's two earlier novels, Sense and Sensibility and Pride and Prejudice. When the novel reached a second edition, its publication was taken over by John Murray, who also published its successor, Emma.
