London: Longman, Orme Brown, Green, and Longmans, 1839 A good copy of the 1st edition in the original green cloth binding with gilt titles to spine. The binding is in good clean condition. It has bumped corners and the spine is pulled. There is a little bubbling to the cloth on the front board. Internally there is a stamped name twice on the front pastedown and handwritten ownership details to the fep. Contents in very good condition with 1 page list of works by Stephens at the rear.
