Includes a printed introduction outling the use and practice of keeping a scrapbook. This scrapbook contains a collection of handwritten verse and prose, and a loosely inserted hand-drawn illustration. Dates in ms text range from 1830-1835. Good copy in a contemporay binding of full aniline calf. Matching gilt-blocked leather label to spine, with gilt-crossed raised bands. Gilt and blind tooled borders to front and rear panels. Spine is worn with some loss to extremities, with panel edged worn and rubbed as with age. General surface wear also to panels and spine. All edges gilt. Decorative title page. Previous owner's signatures to endpapers and title page. Corners sharp with an overall tight, bright and clean impression.
