Paris: Chez le Sr. Fortin , 1778. VG+, minimal edge browning and foxing. Folds as issued. Plate 42 from atlas. Nicely hand colored outlines, heavy paper, of this map of the western hemisphere. This is from a 1778 edition (later issue) of the family's "Nouvel Atlas Portatif" (see Pedley's "Bel et Utile" re: historical details for this prominent mapmaking family). The image measures 9.5x8.5 inches..
