Map, 16 x 23 1/4 inches on sheet 17 3/4 x 25 inches, folding as issued to 9 x 5 inches. 4 inch split along lower vertical fold, tear at left edge about 1/2 inch into map image, little paper loss at one fold intersection not affecting map image, one short tear in image at lower left. Overall good clean condition. Map number VII from the "Report on Interoceanic Canals and Railroads between the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans." Shows the route of a canal from the Gulf of San Blas to the Bay of Panama with the Mandinga River and the Bayano River; Profile at lower edge. .
