Notes free and paid libraries including traveling libraries and libraries organized with State aid. Highlights steam and electric railroad lines and shows towns, major routes, rivers and mountains. Includes key and legend below title. Verso includes index. In excellent condition. Some toning near left margins. After serving in the Union army, George F. Cram (1842-1928) joined his uncle's map business and later established his own engraving and publishing firm in Chicago in 1869. This is an excellent example of his color lithography.<br/><br/>
