El Segundo, CA: Upton and Sons, 1994. First Edition. Quarto. Custer Trail Series, volume 4, 642(1)pp., illustrated by Warren A. Van Ess who at the age of 16 was struck with polio. He is an artist who has exceptional talent and won several awards for his work. He had learned to paint using his teeth developing this unique skill for over 35 years. Bound in red cloth stamped and lettered in gilt, spine lettering gilt, endpapers are maps. A fine bright copy.
