Printed in Paris, 1858.Original chromolithograph illustration from Les Arts Somptuaires: Histoire du Costume et de l'Ameublement et des Arts et Industries qui s'y rattachent sous la Direction de Hangard-Mauge Dessins de Cl'us Ciappori by Charles Louandre. This is from a disbound copy of the rare plates volume, which featured hundreds of images in various subjects designed by Claudius Ciappori and printed by the master Hangard-Maugé in Paris, 1857-58.

[n.p.]: George M. Mayer, 1882. Small colour chromolithograph trade card, printed on thick paper stock (lightly toned, old minor glue offsetting on verso), still VG copy. Scarce and nicely printed Victorian chromolithograph card signed by Mayer in the lower right corner, and copyright information in lower left.

Rome: N.p., [1905]. Original bright chromolithograph broadside showing all of Italy's leader between those dates. 15 1/4 x 20 1/2 inches, mounted on a sheet 1 inch larger. Bear images of 24 Presidents (with the place of honor going to Camillo Cavour) and a scene of inauguration in the center surrounded by a calendar. Some minor split to mount but broadside is in fine condition.

FIRST EDITION circa 1906, dated from inscription on another copy, 12mo, 148 x 90 mm, 5¾ x 3½ inches, olive green card covers, extra colour plate of the twins mounted on upper cover, tasselled silk ties, (19) pages. 10 sweet full page chromolitho illustrations of 2 dear little girls, other small vignettes in the verse text which is printed pink and olive green. Spine slightly worn with small splits at head and tail, corners slightly scuffed, covers slightly soiled and spotted, illustration on upper cover a bit spotted and slightly worn, title page and last page a bit dusty, inscription dated 1909 on inside of upper cover, very occasional slight pale foxing to contents, tiny dark spot on inner margins of centre page, child has added little neat yellow watercolour to 5 tiny text illustrations. Delightful chromolitho frontispiece of girl in long white dress surrounded by birds, 7 further pretty chromos by Edith Berkeley (3), Linnie Watt (2) and Ellen Welby (2), mainly girls, a boy features in only 1 (2 children blackberrying). Numerous black and white illustrations by the same artists and others. 12 original songs with secular subjects: Coming Spring!; Sleep, Baby Dear!; Daisy Dell!; The Conceited Fly; Old Jack Frost; The Wasp at the Picnic!; Sweet Robin Redbreast etc. Covers lightly marked, small stain on faded spine, corners slightly rubbed, endpapers slightly browned, neat old inscription on front endpaper, light foxing to endpapers and half-title, otherwise contents very nice. No date, inscribed 1891, small 4to, 255 x 205 mm, 10 x 8 inches, cloth backed cream boards with enchanting coloured illustration of 2 little girls, green patterned endpapers, 48 pages. Colour illustrated frontispiece and title page, 16 full page pretty chromolithograph illustrations, all of young children, some with text inset, many large tinted illustrations in text, all by Jessie Watkins. Corners slightly worn, cardboard just showing at tips, inner joints cracked, binding sound, neat inscription on verso front endpaper, some pale foxing, 1 closed margin tear with old paper repair. A very good bright clean copy. Children in the countryside, playing, gathering nuts, with their dolls, running after their kitten, in the rain, at the sea-side, with hoops and skipping ropes, at dancing class.
