New York: The American Chess Bulletin, 1915. First edition. Hardcover. Good. Thin 8vo. (8),130,(6)pp. Maroon ribbed cloth gilt title on the upper board. Wear to the edges and corners, spotting and soiling to the text block, the final page detached and laid-in, and the rear free endpaper lacking. A well used copy with pencil notes and annotations throughout.


"Comprising over one hundred and twenty-five of his best tournament and match games at chess, together with the annotation of the same by himself and other well-known chess authorities, also an analysis of the Queen's side openings with several King's gambit novelties and a discussion of the principles of over-the-board chess."


Inscribed on the front free endpaper on April 7, 1915,, to Alfred G. Dale, by the author.
