Princeton: Princeton University Press, 1978. Hardcover. Very good/Very good. xvii, 277 p. 29 cm. 259 b&w illustrations. Green cloth hardcover in mylar-covered pictorial dustjacket. Upper corners bumped. Inscription, probably by author, on title page: "For Y.L. in anticipation of his forthcoming book about a man who, unlike KSM, did not need a lawyer! F. Oct. 1978." Brown stain on bottom corner of front free endpaper.

Melnikov's architectural work in the 1920s and '30s places him at the front end of avant-garde architecture. The author, Stephen Frederick Starr, is an American expert on Russian and Eurasian affairs.
