Pages in very good clean condition, only a little faint foxing, mostly on title page. Some wear to cover, tiny tears to top and bottom of spine which has lost the brilliance of its blue colour. Gilt lettering still bright. Gilt Motif with blind stamping to front. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall

With first hand accounts from Codrington's correspondence, and the research of his daughter, Lady Bourchier. With the bookplate of the ship's library, U. S. S. Pinta, this volume was on the ship stationed in Alaska, which was decommissioned in 1897. Ex lib with the bookplate of the Bureau of Navigation Navy Department bookplate inside front cover.
