New York: Hurd and Houghton, 1873. First edition, 1873. Biography of the these two Victorian era sisters who were poets, abolitionists and proponents of women's rights. Rust colored cloth lettered and decorated in gilt and black. Cover rubbed at the extremities, very small chip to rear edge of spine, good hinges, text block bascially sound but not firm, slightly age-toned but clean pages, gift notation dated 1873 on preliminary blank, pages adjacent to endpapers foxed.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
