Philadelphia: Globe Printing House, 1880. Hardcover. Good + overall. Tribute to Constantine Hering (1800 - 1880), considered to be one of the founders of homeopathy in America. A pioneer in the expansion of homeopathic studies and observations of the healing process known as "Hering's Law of Cure"; Hering also used nitroglycerine to treat heart conditions 30 years before it was put to use in conventional medicine.

8vo, frontispiece portrait, 364pp, illustrations. Green gilt cloth, gilt title at spine, "Hering Memorial". Boards rubbed and marked; rear board cloth rubbed away at foredge; bookplate of J. Arthur Bullard MD at front paste down; title page loosely inserted; diagonal tears at foredge pp 41-46. OCLC: 6766431.
