A researcher of the revolutionary period of 190-1920 had to overcome lack of information and clarity regarding economic changes which the country experienced in this period. Aguirre attempts to respond to a series of questions related to the problem through the analysis of the termination of the domestic internal market during this period as one "possible path," although a particularly use one for the tackling the more comprehensive problem of characterizing the Mexican Revolution as a "general social historical process."
