New York.: Art Amateur.. 1892.. Chromolithograph, 16 x 21 inches. 1 1/4 inch tear at left edge, several tiny edge tears, 1/4 x 1/2 inch paper loss to top right corner, very soft crease at centre. Overall the image is clean and bright and would very attractive displayed. This is an oleograph, a product of the heyday of chromolithography in the late nineteenth century. It is a chromolithograph printed on paper textured to have the appearance of an oil painting, the Victorian mass market equivalent of fine art.
