First Printing With 1948 Date On Title And Copyright Pages. Fine Book, No Wear. Dj Near Fine, Tiny Chipping Along Top Of Spine And At Tips, A Few Nicks Along Top Edge Of Front Panel, Orange On Lower Spine Faded To Yellow, Not Price Clipped, Immaculate And Otherwise Undamaged. Book Inscribed At Length To --------, "Some Passages In This Book Bear Testimony To A Historical Truth Which You Helped To Establish By Your Own Truthfulness. We Are Ever Grateful To You. Frances And Gertrude Spettel. 1948 March." The Spettel Bridge Etc. Are Discussed On Pp 113-115 And A Few Pencil Notes On The Copyright Page Refer To That. A Newspaper Clipping With The Obituary Of A Railroad Employee Is Laid In Loosely At The Page Where He Is Noted; The Opposite Page Has A Short Tear (Former Paper Clip) At The Top, And The Facing Pages Are Browned From The Small Clipping.
