ÑArctic Bibliography 14220.Knud Rasmussen (1879-1933), the famous Danish Arctic explorer, was born in Greenland of Eskimo ancestry. Rasmussen spent 30 years in arctic exploration, and in numerous expeditions sought to confirm his theory that the Eskimo originated in Asia and migrated to northern America. His numerous publications provide a wealth of information with regard to culture and anthropology.
