Inscription reads, 'To -----/Best Wishes/George Brailsford'. 128pp. Profusely illustrated with line-drawings, photographs and a map. The author, George Brailsford was a miner at one of Kent's collierys, Betteshanger, until it closed in 1989. One thing the miners had was their sense of humour that saw them through a dirty, dangerous and at times a boring job. This is a record of that humour, some funny stories and jokes about the Kent miners, plus a few comments maybe not so funny. A fine copy of a SCARCE first edition SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR. .
