Printed gray speckled stitched wraps. 8vo. pp. 360. About Very Good/Ex-Lib. Withdrawn and embossed stamps of the Museum of Comparative Zoology (MCZ) Library, Harvard to cover with large chip matching title page (no significant text loss). Archival repairs to spine and cover. Plates near fine, rear pocket torn, one page repair p.71-2, beginning and end pages are a bit edge chipped (facing chipped covers). Brooks served on six major Alaskan expeditions 1899-1911, was Chief geologist Alaska (1903-24) then Alaskan branch head USGS. He wrote detailed reports on Alaskan minerals every year from 1904-16, [3 years as geologist with AEF in France, WWI], then from 1919-23. [Brooks Range was discovered by and named for him]..
