London, Longmans, Brown, Green and Longmans, 1845 (1st.).. 2 volumes. Hardback, 7 x 4.5 inches. Quarter bound in dark green morocco leather and marbled paper boards. Gilt line edging to boards. With raised banding, decorative gilt paneling and lettering to spines. Marbled endpapers. All page edges gilt. In very good conditions. Some minor fading to spines, corners of boards rubbed, some minor rubbing to ends and edges of spines. Bookseller labels to endpapers “Charles Hutt, London.” Endpapers clean and bright, no penned inscriptions. Some minor handling marks to pages, some small stains to margins on a few pages in v.2. Else inside pages all very clean and tight throughout. Else a lovely clean and tight set. 2 volumes. 328 & 374pp. Illustrated with 2 B&W frontis plates and a B&W sketch map at p1.
