Philadelphia: J. T. Bowen, 1839. Very good condition. Hand colored Audubon lithograph, Oppenheimer edition of 'The Birds of America', the octavo edition. No. 4, Pl. 7, and "Drawn from Nature by J. J. Audubon, F.R.S.F.L.S." at the lower left. Audubon based these octavo prints on the folio drawings of 'Birds of America', but made some modifications due to the smaller format. With the male and female birds perched on tree branch. Faintly toned upper right edge of print. 6 x 10"
