About This Item
(Pietermaritzburg: Natal Parks, Game and Fish Preservation Board, no date). 210 x 140 mm; saddle-stitched pictorial wraps; pp. (ii) + 44; line drawings; monochrome photographs; maps inside lower wrap. Wraps a little rubbed; light browning throughout. Good condition. In addition to checklists of the vegetation and vertebrate life of the famous reserve now known as Mkhuze, this publication has chapters by experts on such subjects as the mammals, the birds, the reptiles, the frogs, plant ecology, the fossils of Nhlonhlela Hill, prehistoric man, and the early history of the area. There is no comparable publication currently available either from KZN Wildlife or the reserve's shop at Mantuma Camp, and we strongly recommend this booklet to anyone planning a visit to Mkhuze. .
