New York & London: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1958. Very Good condition in a Good dust jacket (rubbing, edge chips). Inner hinges are perfect. Sharp corners. A clean, square, reasonably tight copy. 7.5" wide by 11" tall. NOT price clipped ($8.95). This is labeled the Second Revised and Expanded Edition, but it really is the 3rd edition overall. It includes 3 forewords: i.e. the one from the 1942 original edition; from the 1948 edition that was enlarged with a new chapter, and an entirely new foreword to this 1958 full revision. Illustrated by the author with nearly 1,300 drawings. Bound in the original blue cloth, lettered in shiny silver on the spine and front cover. Useful reference for anyone interested in vintage clothing and accessories, clothing design, and/or costumes for use in theater or film productions.
