London: Amalgamated Press/Fleetway House, 1939. VG. First edition. No d/w. Colour frontispiece illustration with 192pp. Profusely illustrated with photographs and line-drawings. Contains an article by W E Johns 'Ports Of The Airways' illustrated with fourteen photographs. There is also an article 'Painting The Silver Screen' which is about cinema animation with a photograph of Walt Disneyand four line-drawings of Mickey Mouse. Bound in blue cloth spine with pictorial paper covers with illustration of a blue and white speed boat. NO inscriptions. Front inner hinge just starting; rear outer hinge has a 9mm split at tail; some chipping to paper edges; some age tanning to edges of pages; corners have losses; some dusting to rear cover; else a very good copy of an UNCOMMON first edition.
