Hardback 4to. 7.25" x 9.75" tall. Pp xiv, 163 with 111 b/w illustrations. A most comprehensive work detailing the machines to be found in use in offices in the pre-electronic era. Contents include much detail on typewriters, dictating machines, inter-communicating telephones, duplicating machines, addressing machines, calculating machines, accounting machines, sorting and tabulating machines, time recorders, etc. Endpapers lightly spotted and a couple of small oval library stamp impressions to blank areas, otherwise very good in the original blind-ruled, olive green cloth/blind title/gilt spine title.. First (& 0nly?) Edition. Cloth. Good/Later loose protective Jacket.
