South braintree, Massachusetts: Thayer Academy, 1935. The 1935 Black and Orange Yearbook from Thayer Academy in South Braintree, Massachusetts. Voume Fourteen (14.) Cloth bound black hardcover with orange titles on the cover. There is little wear to cover and little tanning to pages. We noted a couple of very small spots on end papers. Front end page has owner's name written in ink and pencilled price. This book does contain some autographs and inscriptions. We also noted that the bottom corner of page 25/26 has had the last photograph cut out of page 25. A black and white photocopy (this is of the yearbook's former owner) replaced the photograph on page 26, but this has left one photograph from page 25 missing. 101 pages including a section of vintage advertisements. There is also an 8x10 color photograph titled "Thayer Academy Class of 1935" stamped Phillips Studio 1985 with 11 (eleven) people. This would be the 50th high school reunion. Most are wearing badges with their high school photograph, but the names are not visible in the photograph. There is some damage to the bottom and right side of the photograph which we found tucked into the book. Please email if you want to verify a particular name, event or activity. There are also class photos of the Classes of '36, '37 and '38. Author John Cheever attended and was expelled from Thayer Academy. He is not one of the graduating seniors in this volume and was not listed in the "Ex '35."
