The main body of the book consists of the intensely colorful and fascinating photograph of people and places seldom seen dispite the plethora of documentaries on these areas. Somehow the photograhs generate the sense of mystery even to those poeple (like me) who are familiar with Tibetan Buddhism. The flow of the photographs is unbroken by any text. The latter part of the book consists of text describing all of the pictures in the main part of the book with thumbnail sized black and white photograhs for reference. Stunning, this book will take you far far away and leave you in wonder.
