Harlequin 51 [51] 1950, 1st printing. (Mass market paperback) 288pp. Good to very good. The top of the spine has small tears and has been carefully repaired, the front cover has some minor creasing and a small nibble from the bottom edge, the spine has some creasing but is reasonably bright and square. This is one of the toughest Harlequins to find. (Cookbooks, Purity Flour Mills).

A set of first edition Penguins, 1954-1958 the first six of A Guide to English Literature, including A290, A291, A325, A 379, A402, A413. Overall in very good condition, issues as noted: Vol I, first edition, slight spotting to cover, Vol 2 first edition, very light marks to cover, Vol 3 first edition small intact tear to cover, Vol 4 light marks to cover, light smudge on title page, Vol 5 small pen mark to cover, cover loose from spine at lower section. All show some toning, sunfading and light wear to spine.

Cover is scuffed and marked. Colour is vivid on front cover, pages are tanned. No marks, inscriptions or ownership marks.Hard to find Australian variation from the series of four colouring books. The Australian variation omits the CBS advertising for Saturday morning cartoons and was replaced by a duplicate of the title page. Inerestingly it is attributed to three illustrators with interesting comic and publishing careers.
Jane Stine nee Waldhorn is married to R.L Stine (author of the Goosebumps series) Jane and Bob Stine collaborated on a number of books in the early eighties. In 1983 Jane Stine established Parachute Press and gained notice with the 1989 publication of R. L. Stine's Fear Street series, followed in 1992 by the release of the first of Stine's Goosebumps series. Parachute is now a multi-media company producing content for pre schoolers through to young adults.
