About This Item
London: University of London Press Ltd., 1950. Reprinted 1952 . Hardcover. Very Good/Fair. The interior of the book is clean and crisp. The half title page has an inscription (May 1956) to a former owner. The paper covering the front hinge has cracked, but the biding remains firm. The text has black-and-white illustrations throughout and four full-page colour plates including frontispiece. The front and back end pages feature "A Map of the Garden". The beige covers are clean and bright with light edgewear. The jacket is only in Fair condition. It has light edgewear overall, but a deep nick of paper is missing from the top of the spine. The attached scan shows this in more detail. The jacket is now in a protective mylar cover.
