Good overall in the third format - in brown with black printing depicting the boys (each in a separate circle) and illustrations of a biplane, auto and boat (some fraying to the base of the spine). Early printing. The Motor Boys are: Bob Baker, son of a rich banker; Ned Slade, son of a large department store owner; Jerry Hopkins, son of a well-to-do widow. The fourth book in this series published under a Stratemeyer Syndicate house name. Illustrated with a glossy frontispiece by Charles Nuttall. Lists to #9 at the front of the book. 248 pp.
