Green floral endpapers and pastedowns. Illustrated with a frontispiece and with a fold-out map in the rear of the volume, also with several full-page and in-text diagrams and illustrations. A fascinating archaeological study of Native people and their religious and ceremonial activities related to the mounds and earthworks found in the interior of the United States. Spotting to the fore-edge, a touch of wear to the corners.
