Mr Punch is at the end of a long journey. When he looks around him,all he sees are shadowy trees,a flat land, black water, and a misty staircase. Where is Judy? Where are the policeman and the doctor? And can that be Napoleon over there? Where is he? And what is going to happen to him? This is the strange and mysterious story of Mr Punch and of how he came to be the wooden puppet that we all love and hate. Allan Curless (b. 1950 - died 1997.) Studied at Gloucester College of Art and Design.Probably best known as an illustrator, for his chapter icons in the Brian Jacques 'REDWALL' series of books/titles.He was also a political cartoonist for 16 years, mainly for The Sunday Times.'Marifox' the first book published after his death was dedicated to him.He contributed artwork to 3 Tolkien-related books - the last 'A Guide to Tolkien' posthumously. He also contributed to a couple of verse/poetry anthologies edited by John Foster.'Mr Punch' was his first children's illustrated fiction book and he also illustrated several other assorted children's writers/authors works. Since April 2013,again in March 2015,and in this year too,the UK Post Office has altered it's Pricing in Proportion template, altering it's prices, weight allowances, dimensions and lowered it's qualifying compensation rates too!
