Gift inscription from the author to the front end paper "For Vera with best wishes for Christmas & the New Year Love from Jean Plaidy". 272 pages. Original dust jacket fair, with some general wear and rubbing, lightly chipped to head/tail of the spine, some old water-staining to the rear panel and underside, not price-clipped, now attractively presented in a loose-fitting clear archival sleeve. Hard-back binding, good, very slightly water marked. Contents good and tight, end papers a little marked and foxed, paper toned, light spotting to page edges. A good first edition copy, signed by the author..
