The spine label is age toned, with wear to spine ends (to boards on lower edge). Internally, a previous owners inscription to inside rear board, otherwise end-pages slightly age toned but clean. Woodcuts in very good clean condition. The slipcase is in poor condition, soiled and shelfworn, missing the spine strip and half of the bottom edge,and completely detached along bottom edge. *First book published by The John Day Company.
