Publisher's red cloth, lettered in gilt on spine and front cover; viii, 484pp; top edge gilt; 25 inserted leaves of plates. Tight, straight copy, slightly darkened on spine, easily Very Good. Autobiography of the notorious grande horizontale, most remembered as the mistress of French President Felix Fauré, whose heart gave out in the midst of one of their (apparently strenuous) liaisons nocturnales.
