About This Item
Toronto: The Ryerson Press, 1908 A nice clean solid book, slightly yellowed. Green Boards with black type and picture of bird on front board and rabbit on spine. Shows very little shelfwear to edges and has small tear at top spine edge where book was probably pulled off the shellf. The pages are slightly yellowed with age but very readable. The author has inscribed the book on the front paste down end paper. Dated 12 Dec.T.1935 Toronto the inscription is as follows: Dear Eugenia Elizabeth Easton, I am going to quote for you some lines that I think are very lovely, and believe that they were written by a man called Andrew Muir. " Oh! Sure am I when I come to die, And through deaths Portal go, That the cats and dogs and the little white mice, And the Birds I used to know, Will all come rushing to welcome me, This friend of long ago!", Yours very sincerely Marshall Saunders.
