Original brown cloth stamped in blind on the sides and the spine, and lettered in gold on the spine panel. Lithographed half-title and portrait frontispiece, and twenty-four hand-colored plates by E. C. Kellogg. In this copy plate #22 is bound opposite page xviii. Includes twenty-four parts, each dedicated to a different animal (with taxonomy, natural history, and characteristics), and a fifty-five page glossary. Expertly rebacked using the original cloth, some scattered foxing throughout. A bright, very good+ copy. ; Octavo.
