Built in the U.S., the "Nabob" never did serve in the U.S. Navy. Instead it was transferred to the Royal Navy and manned by Canadians. After being torpedoed in 1944 with a loss of over 20 men, the carrier was judged not worth repairing. This book tells the story of the ship and its crew, complete with photos.
