Published by Phaedra, New York; 1966. 8vo. First Edition, first printing. Variant "a", with green endpapers. Condition: Fine/Fine.
Bound in original grey patterned cloth boards with title to the spine and printed signature to the front. The binding is in excellent condition with just a little mild sunning to the tope, otherwise they are square, tight and in excellent condition. Inside, the pages are clean and bright with no marks or damage to speak of.
The book is housed in it's original unclipped dust jacket, with the original price of $3.95 to the front flap. Other than t touch of rubbing to the panels, the jacket is in excellent condition and completes the book perfectly.
In all, this is an excellent example of this book by the author of Lolita. It contains four short stories; The Vane Sisters; The Visit to the Museum; Lik; and An Affair of Honour, all of which are classics, with two having been published in The New Yorker. This is a beautiful example, which would complement any collection it sat in.
