About This Item
New York: Essential Books, 1945. Cloth. Near Fine. INSCRIBED BY WEEGEE IN HIS CUSTOMARY GREEN INK on the dedication page. A crisp, very sharp copy to boot of the 1945 true 1st edition (with the coarse covers instead of the smooth covers). Clean and Near Fine in its oatmeal cloth, with bright blue lettering to the front panel and spine. Firm and solid and, internally, immaculate, with no writing or markings of any kind beyond Weegee's inscription. Octavo, tough, gritty New York scenes in rich gravure. An unusually well-preserved copy.
