Very Good hardcover, no DJ. Pawson and Nicholson extra-gilt signed binding. Full dark brown hard grain morocco over boards; gilt stamped frames with Arabesque spandrels on front and rear covers; raised bands on spine with gilt stamped panels; all edges gilt with fore edge painting of a rural scene in color under the gilt; fine gilt stamped Arabesque work on turn-ins; nonpareil marbled end papers. Bright, clean covers and spine; spine title gilt chipped off - still legible; some rubbing at cover fore corners, boards just exposed at lower fore corners; tightly bound; 'bound by Pawson and Nicholson' in pale blue on front free end paper, which is separated and laid in; clean interior with slight general age darkening. List of plates indicates 88 but plate numbers go to 99 and not all plates are numbered. Various artists; engravings by Reveil and others. 12mo, unpaged.
