Dillon launched an expedition to discover the fate of La Perouse's famed scientific & exploratory expedition. Dillon's book gives great detail on early Tonga, Tasmania, and New Zealand. Dillon's efforts were verified in 1964 when the remains of the Boussole were discovered.
