Four-page introduction followed by 42 pages of text providing Dumont's account of his years of captivity after being shipwrecked between Oran and Algiers in 1782. (The title page indicates the account was transcribed by J. S. Quesne, whose remarks appear at the end of the account, on pp. 41 and 42.) Engraving of Dumont, chained at the waist, appears opposite the title page. Good clean condition. .
