About This Item

Singapore: Oxford University Press, 1988. Paperback. Very Good. This book was originally published in 1926 to popularise Hose's views on the tribes of North Borneo, whom he dealt with more extensively in his two volume edition of The Pagan Tribes of Borneo. With more than 20 years experience as a civil servant in Sarawak, he had a reputation as a humane administrator, which shows in the sympathetic treatment he gives to the indigenous peoples of the island. 284 pages with an index and many black and white photographs. Weight 0.7kg. Post free within Malaysia The cover has minimal wear with a few minor dirt marks. The binding is tight, the text is clear and there is mild tanning throughout. A nice copy.
