The habits and instincts of animals in La Plata, La Pampas, Argentina. 8vo, 2pp preface, 383pp, 4 pp index, 40 pp catalogue at back dated Feb. 1892. 27 b/w illustrations including Puma, Armadillo, Wrestler frog, Pampa sheep, Dragonflies, Crested Screamer, Woodhewers, Huanaco, Viscachas, Hummingbird. Teal green cloth boards with gilt title on spine and illustration of coypu family on front. Spine sunned and rubbed on edges, one closed hole on right edge and fraying at bottom. Cover rubbed at edges and corners bumped. Interior clean and bright. Binding loose at front hinge, but holding. G+.
