Contemporary full vellum with gilt decorations and red leather label stamped in gold on the spine. Marbled endpapers and top edge. Preserves the original wrappers. Signed, inscribed and dated by D'Annunzio to an Italian noble woman in the year of publication. Illustrations and guide letters by Duilio Cambellotti who designed the scenes and costumes for the original tragedy which premiered in Rome in January 1908. Text block mildly toned. A fine copy. De Medici 68. Vecchioni 36.; Octavo; Signed by Author.
