New York: New Challenge, 1954. First Edition. Paperback. Small 12mo (14.75cm.); photo-illustrated staplebound self-wrappers printed in orange and black; 31pp.; illus. throughout. Fine. Interior banner reads "Young America's Voice for Peace, Jobs, and Freedom." This issue with the leading article: "Why Not China in the UN?" Other highlights include a review of Alfred Hitchcock's "Rear Window" ("not by any means a significant movie"), and an article on the Trubmull Park race riots. Though not openly a Communist publication, New Challenge was accused of being pro-Communist in an issue of Counterattack: The Newsletter of Facts to Combat Communism, Vols. 9/10 (1955), p. 19.
