Leipsic - Charles Tauchnitz, 1837 Book. Very Good. Hardcover. First edition.. A German-English dictionary by Kaltschmidt. Bound in half-leather with gilt lettering and decoration and marbled paper-covered boards. Presumed First Edition. Stereotype-edition. ContainsEnglish-German and German-English sections, with two sketches of grammar, English and German. Little is known about Jakob Heinrich Kaltschmidt. Condition: The binding is generally tight and firm. The front inner hinge has failed after the English title page, with a torn section of page xv still attached. There is only slight wear to the extremities, with just slight rubbing to the boards. Internally the pages have occasional marks and scattered foxing, becoming prominent to the first and last few pages. The German title page to page xiv is attached by the cords only. Overall the condition isvery good with a good only interior..

In a half morocco binding, with paper covered boards, and gilt detailing to spine. Light rubbing to boards, otherwise externally excellent. Front hinge strained, but firmly held.
